Have any experience fabricating and installing countertops?  We have a great opportunity to bring a full-time Solid Surface Fabricator and Installer onboard to our Omaha, Nebraska team! We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable and takes initiative, to fabricate, finish and install solid surface, granite and quartz counter tops and other products. The right person will collaborate with others to ensure design intent, quality standards and timelines are met.

What you do in this role...

  • Fabricates solid surface counter tops and other solid surface items while adhering to company's standards of quality and efficiency expectations
  • Collaborates and coordinates with General Manager, Project Managers and other relevant team members to ensure design intent, quality standards and timelines are met
  • Loads and unloads products and tools as needed
  • Troubleshoots and repairs items
  • Maintains condition of shop and surrounding work areas (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
  • Loads, unloads and installs solid surface, granite and quartz products at job sites while effectively communicating and maintaining a professional demeanor

What you need coming in...

  • High school diploma, equivalent education or equivalent experience
  • Prior fabricating and installation experience with solid surface, granite and/or stone
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and problem solve effectively between General Manager, Project Managers, Foremen, and other related individuals and teams
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings
  • Proficient mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately
  • Familiarity with both hand and power tools
  • Ability to work well individually with limited direction
  • Ability to present yourself in a professional and positive manner upholding the image of the company
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function in a team-based environment
  • Excellent time management skills. Must be flexible and be able to work under some pressure in a high paced, challenging work environment
  • Commercial construction experience preferred

 What the work environment requirements are...

  • Must be flexible to meet customer's demands; some overtime may occasionally be required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time frequently
  • Ability to use hands to handle and control objects, tools and controls
  • Ability to lift 50 75 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift 100-150 pounds occasionally with two-person lift
  • Ability to bend and twist frequently
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Ability to load products, travel to job site, unload and install products as needed
  • Environment can expose team members to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold), noise, dust, and uneven walking surfaces
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
